As part of our series for teaching young leaders to teach their peers, we have a selection of easy or easy to medium Marching Band and Concert series shows for your repertoire to help build student teaching skills.

Here are three samples:

The 12th century epic of the three riddles of Turandot 360 has been the subject of hundreds of dramatic and poetic settings. Here composers Steve Martin & Shawn Glyde explore four musical scenes from the opera by Franco Alfano and Giacomo Puccini ready for an abstract or literal visual treatment. Your audience and students alike will appreciate the lush, exuberant musical substance.

Boundaries by Curtis J. Melton brilliantly illustrates the physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual road-blocks that make up the human condition. Using form, body, equipment and props, this piece is brimming with opportunities to flex your creative muscles.

Explore the senses and stimulate the mind through color, depth and texture in Aqua. Composer Gary P. Gilroy’s show is part of our “Excellence for Smaller Bands” series and is attainable by younger or growing programs. Movements include Vapor, Liquid and Solid.
